SSI has the acoustics and fabrication experience to tackle your novel hardware design challenges. Past work includes sensor housings which intelligently protect sensitive equipment from some of the harshest natural conditions on Earth, to buoys capable of melting through meters of ice to reach the surface and return data. SSI has overseen novel acoustic component design for active SONAR systems, systems integration of OTS sonar components, as well as passive technologies for baffling noise and target strength reduction. Multi-sensor packaging, networking, and sensor/array deployment are some of the most common themes in the SSI portfolio. Our experience covers mounting and deployment hardware and procedure design in a wide array of settings including large and small vessel deployments, pier and shore-side installation, ocean-bottom, moored buoys, and expeditionary and drifting buoy platforms. |
